What’s Going on in Lauderdale by the Sea?
Lauderdale by the Sea is located on a barrier island between the Intercoastal waterway to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. There is a major hospital (Holy Cross) less than 2 miles from the neighborhood. There is different options of conceivable shopping in walking distance.
The Lauderdale by the Sea town center is just down the street and has everything from restaurants, bar, gift shops to a wonderful local coffee shop. In the evenings you will want to take a stroll down to enjoy dinner at 101Ocean, have ice cream at Kiwanis and a tropical drink at Aruba, a great neighborhood bar. On weekends, it is not uncommon to have block parties right at the Lauderdale by the Sea town center with local bands entertaining the crowds.
